Human growth hormone (HGH) is the hormone that is connected to vitality, energy, resilience and beauty.  As we age, our HGH hormone will actually decrease.  Now there is a HGH energizer supplement that can be taken which increases the level of the HGH hormones in our body and help decrease some of the signs of aging such as weight gain, wrinkles, loss of lean muscle and bone density.  The HGH energizer is a homeopathic supplement that can be purchased in capsule form.

Research is showing that adults treated with human growth hormones can loss weight, enhance bone density and muscle mass and have a higher exercise capability. Considering all the positive effects, many elder individuals who have a decreased ratio of hormone growth have started to take this supplement. Of course with any medicine or supplement, there are also side effects. Some individuals have reported human growth hormone side effects of increased muscle pain, inflammation of the legs or arm and bad headaches.

Just a couple of the benefits of taking growth hormones are reduced body fat content, smoother skin texture, rapid healing from injuries, resistance to infections and improved memory functions.  Each individual will need to weight the pros and cons of taking a HGH energizer supplement.

Fitness, Memberships and Money

There are so many fitness center options today that deciding which gym is going to be best for you can be confusing.  Ask before joining a fitness center if they cater to a certain portion of the population such as males, females or the young.

There are facilities that are open 24 hours, facilities that offer daycare, individualized programs, youth programs, organized classes, and fitness assessments.  You will need to decide which options that are provided by the different facilities are going to fit into your overall health program strategy.

Some fitness centers offer new client’s an opportunity for an initial assessment, personalized training plans, and continued consultation services, free with their membership.  Other gyms offer the first month free when you sign a contract for a year.  Ask if you can visit and workout in the gym prior to signing any long term contracts.  This will give you a good idea whether you are going to feel comfortable in the environment before joining a fitness center.

If you have small children, then you are going to want to join a fitness center that has daycare facilities so you are free to exercise while your children are being supervised.  On the other hand, if you don’t have children, you might not want to join a gym that allows small or very young children to be in the facility unsupervised.

Many gyms have also realized that not everyone feels comfortable exercising in mixed company, so they have provided men only or women only exercise times or have segregated areas of the fitness center for this purpose.  Ask to see a schedule of classes that are being taught at the facilities and the times when they are taught.

With all the different options available, there is no reason why you shouldn’t exercise and be healthy.  Make a list of the available items that are important to you and ask a few questions before joining a fitness center in order to select the best gym for you and your lifestyle.

Learn How to Control Overeating

The holiday season can be stressful enough without having to worry about weight gain. There are a couple of easy steps you can take to avoid gaining weight during the holidays.  If you are being invited to several holiday parties, don’t feel like you have to stuff yourself with all the food that is available, just pick a few special foods to sample.  Use a little common sense and put your focus on maintaining a balance of physical activity and food intake.  Physical activity will not only allow you to avoid gaining weight during the holidays but it will also reduce your stress level.

Try to plan holiday celebrations around physical activities like sledding or skiing if you are going to be in an area with snow or a picnic at the park if you are in a warmer climate.  After dinner, walk around and look at the holiday lights instead of driving around in your car.  Try to schedule some physical activity every day during the holidays and you’ll not only avoid gaining weight but you also might lose some weight.

Drinking a large glass of water before you eat will trick your body into thinking it is already full and you’ll actually eat less.  Don’t stand near the table where all the food is located because you are more tempted to sample if the food is right in front of you.  Instead, place your food on a plate and find a place to sit down.  You’ll eat less than you would standing at the buffet and sampling.

If you are going to spend a great deal of time in the kitchen cooking, consider modifying your existing recipes to reduce the fat and sugar that is traditionally in holiday recipes.  Or instead of making homemade cookies and candy to give as gifts, give fresh fruits and nuts as a healthier alternative.  You could get really creative and design edible baskets containing fruits and vegetables to be given as gifts.

By incorporating physical activity into your daily schedule and modifying your eating habits, you can avoid gaining weight during the holidays.

the Benefits of a Fitness Plan

People join a gym for many different reasons. Before you decide to join, do a little research, make a list of the benefits of joining a gym and then do some comparison shopping to get the best deal possible. A gym is not just a place where you workout, it has become a necessity for stress relief as well as a form of socializing. Choose a gym that will fit your lifestyle and work schedule.

One of the biggest benefits of joining a gym is the ability to maintain a healthy body.  It is recommended that you spend at least an hour a day working out to maintain a healthy body and lifestyle.  Gyms provide a wide selection of fitness equipment to work different body parts and provide different health benefits.  Gyms also provide the strength training equipment necessary for extreme bodybuilding, if you choose to take your exercise to that level.

The criteria for joining a gym should include the type of equipment that is available, are there on-site personal trainers and what are the hours of operation.  Gyms are going to charge you a monthly fee for the use of their equipment and facility as well as the services of a personal trainer.  Choosing the right gym will allow you to enjoy the health benefits of a gym without feeling like it is a chore that must be tolerated on a daily basis.

More and more gyms are offering special classes such as rock climbing, aerobics, cycling, swimming, yoga and kickboxing.  These activities are designed for achieving an overall healthy body and are also offered as a healthy alternative to working out using only standard gym equipment.  Developing and maintaining a healthy lifestyle is probably one of the biggest benefits of joining a gym.

on Personal Training

Why did you decide to become a personal trainer?  Was it your love of exercise or the thrill of helping others reach their health and fitness goals?  Understanding and remembering your passion for fitness will help you prevent personal trainer burnout.  With clients who are dedicated and excited about their workouts, co-workers who share common interests and ideals, and constant access to exercise equipment, being a personal trainer is a rewarding career choice.

Unfortunately, you’ll most likely end up with a few clients who make it difficult to stay passionate about your work.  Some clients are going to cancel at the last minute or show up 20 minutes late for their appointments.  Others are going to expect you to lift the weights for them or maybe just wave a magic wand at them and transform their bodies on the spot.  While some clients are going to increase your passion as a personal trainer, there will be others that try to stomp out any type of enjoyment you might have for the job.  So how do you prevent personal trainer burnout?

There are a couple of changes you could make to minimize your stress level.  Make sure your contract states the amount of time that is required to cancel an appointment prior to the start of the session to avoid being charged for the entire missed session or a penalty amount.  You might want to set up a prepayment plan for your clients.  Typically, if people have already paid for your service, they are more likely to utilize it.

As a personal trainer you should get to know your clients likes and dislikes such as any hobbies they enjoy or what types of music they like to listen to.  Simply have them fill out a short questionnaire, ask them in your introductory conversation or talk to them over a period of time.  You can use this information to tailor their workouts and increase the enjoyment they receive from your fitness training.  If your clients are having a good time, it will decrease the amount of problems that might come up later.

Of course, your burnout might not have anything to do with a conflict with clients.  When you spend all day helping and pleasing your clients, sometimes it’s very easy to forget that you also need to take some time for yourself.  Even if you only spend 10 to 20 minutes a day doing something relaxing and for yourself, you’ll find that it is easier keep your passion alive.  Take a look at your schedule, make some necessary changes and prevent personal trainer burnout.

Information on Strength Training

Your fitness health training routine should include aerobic fitness, muscular fitness, stretching, core exercise and balance training at a minimum.  A well rounded fitness training program is important whether you are just starting out or whether you are an exercise fanatic.

Aerobic fitness, also known as cardio or endurance exercises, causes you to breathe faster and more deeply, which maximizes the amount of oxygen in your blood.  The more effectively your heart, lungs and blood vessels carry oxygen through your body, the easier it is for you to complete routine activities in your daily life.  Aerobic exercises are any physical activity that uses most of your muscles and increases your heart rate.  Walking, jogging, biking, swimming, dancing, snow shoveling and vacuuming are all considered aerobic exercises.

Muscular fitness should also be included in your fitness health training program.  Strength training can help you increase bone strength and muscular fitness.  It can also help you retain muscle during a weight loss program.  There are a wide selection of resistance machines, free weights and other tools available for strength training.

Stretching your muscles will improve the range of motion of your joints and also help relieve stress.  Most aerobic and strength training activities will cause your muscles to contract and flex so it is important to include stretching in your health and fitness training for a balanced routine.

Core exercises involve the muscles in your abdomen, lower back and pelvis.  Core muscle exercises will help brace your spine and allow you to use your upper and lower body muscles in a more effective manner.  Core exercises are any exercises that use the trunk of your body without support such as abdomen crunches or working with a fitness ball.

Balance training needs to be included in your workout routine even if you are strong, flexible and aerobically fit.  Something as simple as standing on one leg for increasing periods of time will improve your balance and overall stability.  Balance will deteriorate with age but balance training can help by preventing falls.

Incorporating all of these different types of exercises in your fitness health training routine will provide you with a well rounded fitness program.

Personal Training Certification

Anyone who is interested in becoming a personal fitness trainer, exercise consultant or an overall fitness professional should consider getting a personal training certification. Typically the trainer certification programs will cover topics about body building, exercise physiology, weight management, weight training and personal training. If you are looking at a career as a personal trainer, you should also have first aid and CPR training prior to working with any clients. Most fitness centers and gyms will require their personal trainers to have a current CPR card.

Obtaining a personal training certification identifies you as a legitimate trainer and indicates you have been through some type of workshop, seminar or home study course. There are many organizations that certify personal trainers so you need to consider a couple of things when choosing the certification organization where you will take your training.

The number one most important factor to consider is whether the certifying organization has been accredited. An accreditation process requires that certifying organizations have their certification procedures and protocols accredited by an independent third party. This one factor alone could save you tons of money (because of all the scams out there) and will also provide you with the credentials that will allow you to have clients at some of the top rated gyms and fitness centers.

If there is a specific gym that you want to work for, find out if they require a specific personal training certification before you review and choose a certifying organization.

Space Saver Treadmills

Space saver treadmills are a favorite with people who like to workout using a treadmill but don’t have the room necessary to leave the treadmill out in the open all the time.  There are advantages and disadvantages to space saver treadmills.

Typically, these manual folding treadmills are at the cheaper end of the treadmill market than the non-folding treadmill.  Most manufacturers will spend more money on the folding mechanism instead of on the actual treadmill itself and the folding mechanism parts can break.

One of the biggest advantages a space saving treadmill is the ability to have a big exercise machine in a small area.  If you don’t have an area in your house where you can dedicate space to a non-folding treadmill which can be intrusive, than a folding treadmill can be the perfect option for you.

Keeping your treadmill clean will increase the mechanical and electrical systems life.  If you’ve purchased a folding treadmill, what could be easier than being able to fold the treadmill up and clean underneath?

Since most space saver treadmills are at the lower price end of the treadmill market, it is perceived that they are not only cheap in price but also quality.  That might have been true when they first appeared on the market, but the quality has shown significant improvement and are actually better designed and more durable than some non-space saver treadmills.
